Board the 8:40 am train at the Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station in Manhattan and travel for a luxurious 300-mile roundtrip journey—to Saratoga Springs and back—in our exclusive dining car “Epicurus.” You’ll see amazing sights along the Hudson River, including the Palisades, West Point, Bannerman’s Castle, Storm King Mountain, Bear Mountain, the Hudson Highlands, stately mansions, massive bridges, and a myriad of picturesque sailboats, barges, tugboats and even lighthouses.

Once you arrive in beautiful Saratoga Springs you will have approximately 6 hours to explore this historic little city, best known for its world-famous thoroughbred race course, the naturally-occurring mineral spas and a hip and stylish downtown area packed with shops and restaurants. Want to be entertained? the Saratoga Performing Arts Center hosts world-class concerts and events in an oversized outdoor amphitheater. There are also multiple museums to check out including the National Museum of Dance, and the Saratoga Automobile Museum.  If history is your thing, be sure to check out the Saratoga National Historic Park.

Guests may also choose to spend the day exploring historic Schenectady, instead of Saratoga Springs. There is a lot to discover in the Electric City. Tour the historic Stockade District, which has more than 400 homes on the National Register of Historic Places. Explore the revitalized waterfront on the Mohawk River; ride a bike or go for walk in one of the beautiful parks or trails.  Check out a show at Proctors Theatre or try your luck at Rivers Casino & Resort. An international dining scene offers a wide range of choices. 

In addition to the majestic sightseeing, you will enjoy fun entertainment and education from a special host—and fine dining at its best. A complementary breakfast is included in your trip, but it is the five-course sit-down dinner, complete with fine china and snow-white lines that is the culinary highlight of the trip. Guest may choose onboard from a selection of freshly prepared entrees.There is also complementary beverage service throughout the trip that includes soft drinks, wine, beer and cocktails.
