An Interactive Landmark
Designed by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio, the Vessel at the Hudson Yards serves as an interactive landmark for the surrounding area and community. The Vessel offers its visitors uniquely exquisite views spanning across parts of New York City and the Hudson River. Explore the 154 interconnecting spiral staircases comprised of nearly 2,500 steps, 80 landings, and copper pathways that culminate into a mile-long, 150-foot-high journey.
Hudson Yards – Fun for All
With shops, food, beverage, and children’s activities available throughout the Hudson Yards, the Vessel fits snugly into any family’s outing. Bring the kids, a date, or your camera because the opportunities for snapping some beautiful photos to add to your scrapbook are endless. And fear not—there are plenty of platforms along the way to stop for pictures, to rest, or just to enjoy the view.
Admission
Tickets are required for those aged 6 years and older. You can reserve a free General Admission time-slot up to two weeks ahead of time. Flex passes are also available for $10, which allow visitors to arrive at any time on their chosen day. Priority tickets available for elevator service with stand-by option when sold out. Those with disabilities who cannot access stairs receive priority on the stand-by line. Accessible elevators on site, as well as wheelchair accessible restrooms throughout the Hudson Yards. Service animals welcome.
Virtual Vessel Visit
While awaiting its reopening, prospective visitors are welcome to virtually view commemorative relics of the structure’s March 15th, 2019 debut on the Vessel’s website, featuring some of Manhattan’s finest views, music, and well-known celebrities.
