New York-born, restaurateur, and chef Nick Accardi – the mastermind and owner behind Tavola- gained the knowledge, taste, and inspiration from his travels to Italy to create this New York City eatery. For 25 years Nick Accardi has been a known figure in New York City and now he is joined by Chef De Cuisine Giancarlo Dellanzo and Mark Oram, both who are recognized for their years in the industry.
Tavola is home to two wood burning, but there is something extraordinary about these two ovens. Both are handcrafted in Naples, Italy with Vesuvius volcanic clay! Not many other restaurants can their ovens are this special!
Tavola’s Pizza and Lunch Menu
As most New Yorker’s hear so much about pizza it is a treat to see a vast Pizza menu, consisting of unique and delicious pie’s that you can’t get bored of. There are pies with littleneck clams, Turkish fish eggs, and even braised rabbit all made in the wood-burning ovens.
The rest of the lunch menu offers a great deal of antipasti dishes, pasta dishes, and for the main courses are found in the “secondi” section. The recommended secondi dish is the wood oven roasted salmon, this dish comes with grilled asparagus, pine nuts, and field green salad, an Italian classic.

The definition of trattoria is an Italian restaurant that serves simple meals, and that is exactly what the dinner menu offers. The menu varies from wood oven roasted artichoke salads, to handmade pasta dishes like gnocchi, to classic dishes like eggplant parmigiana. Be sure to also check out the wine menu and see what wine pairs perfectly with your meal. All wines on the menu are sourced from Italian wineries and served by the glass or bottle.
