The Strand Theatre is a performing arts venue that proudly offers community outreach programs and performing arts education. The Theatre is run by Hudson River Music Hall Productions, Inc., a non-profit corporation that strives create community through music and the related arts. The Strand is the venue it is today after Hudson River Music Hall Productions, Inc. renovated the historic 1923 theatre.
History of The Strand Theatre
Since opening their doors in 2010, Hudson River Music Hall Productions, Inc. and Strand Theatre have brought over 150 events per year to the public, including live music, art gallery openings, dance seminars, theatrical productions, private parties and many more opportunities for the community to gather.
Education and Performing Arts
Hudson River Music Hall Productions, Inc. offers classes and lessons in dance, music, yoga, and karate. The Strand hosts touring professionals, gallery openings, dance seminars, plays, and films. Additionally, the theatre hosts Open Mic Night every Wednesday evening where anyone gets a chance to perform in a supportive environment.
Turntable Java Shop
The Strand Theatre’s in-house coffee shops provides listening stations so anyone can sit back and relax with a cup of coffee. The java shop houses an extensive collection of musical recordings and books for patrons’ listening and reading needs.
