About REDD
Opened by Rochester native and renowned chef Richard Reddington, REDD has served the city of Rochester since 2006. Inspired by Reddington’s travels through Europe and his extensive work in California’s culinary industry, REDD offers a modern twist on Wine Country cuisine with influences from Reddington’s French training and various ethnic experiences. The quality of the food appears to speak for itself, with the restaurant being awarded seven Michelin Stars from 2008 to 2014 and named one of GQ Magazine’s best new restaurants in 2006.
The Space
REDD is situated in the east end of Rochester, bringing the flavors of Napa to upstate New York. The interior of the restaurant is moderately upscale, featuring various dining options with high tops, tables, modern-style booths for a more private feel and a large bar. In addition, outdoor seating on the patio is available for customers to enjoy, as well. The set-up of the restaurant makes it an ideal location for anything from a romantic night out to a friendly get together to a private event.
“The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was perfect. Nice having the option to sit at the bar, high tops or table. Thoroughly enjoyed my first time at REDD and will definitely be back soon!”
