Originally known to Schenectady as Marotta’s, this restaurant transformed into Rare Craft Steak & Cocktail House in April of 2017. This steakhouse with an Italian influence allows puts the guests first and allows them to decide what they want to eat. Although it is known for its large, crafted steaks, that is not all the menu offers.
Rare’s famous offering is the chance for guests to “craft” their experience at the steakhouse. They allow opportunities for guests customize their own steak dinner as well as creating their own wood-fired pizza. The menu also offers vegetarian options. Sections include the regular appetizers, one being the widely known Fried Balsamic Glazed Bacon “Mack” & Cheese. The menu also includes soups and salads, to be followed by pizzas and burgers. The restaurant has pasta and chicken specialties in addition to their steak and seafood masterpieces. Craft steak options include Top Sirloin, New York Strip, Boneless Rib-Eye, Filet Mignon and Cowboy. Rare Craft Steak & Cocktail House encourages family style dining, as some dishes can serve up to 4 people.
