Park Playhouse offers free outdoor theatre to a diverse audience of the Capital District. With an outdoor setting, high quality productions at venues throughout the region and arts education programs for young people in the community, the playhouse’s mission is to increase quality of life for their viewers.
Park Playhouse stages performances in Washington Park and Cohoes Music Hall and has begun its 31st season! The 2019 season features works such as Avenue Q, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s Newsies, and Winnie the Pooh.
Accessible Arts for All
Park Playhouse provides free and affordable admission to its productions and in doing so, makes theatre an all-inclusive art form, available to people from all socio-economic backgrounds. Through their children education programs, Park Playhouse teaches valuable life lessons about collaboration and teamwork, while helping to train the area’s next generation of theatre artists.
