About Mahoney’s
This Poughkeepsie favorite pub was opened in 2004 by Emmett Mahoney. There are two levels of dining and full-service bars. A section of the original Vassar Brewery’s grain auger is highlighted as decoration outside the backdoors of the lower level. There are 23 flat-screen TVs for all sports enthusiasts. Enjoy Emmett’s Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, and Irish Beef Stew for some hearty options. They also serve up classic bar offerings like nachos, wings, and hot pretzels with a homemade cheese sauce.
Mahoney’s Irish heritage is of the utmost importance, with the decor on the inside highlighting various counties within Ireland. This year, to celebrate Mahoney’s 20th Anniversary, they are even organizing a trip to Ireland! Attendees will visit iconic Irish cities including Dublin, Belfast, Derry, and more, and see some of the most beautiful sights Ireland has to offer.
