About Jack’s Oyster House
Jack’s Oyster House has been embedded in Albany’s landscape for over a century. Jack Rosenstein opened Jack’s Oyster House in 1913 at the corner of Beaver and Green streets. In 1937 Rosenstein shifted the restaurant several blocks north to its present location at the foot of State Street, a short walk down the hill from the New York State Capitol Building.
Further, this 150-seat restaurant continues to wow patrons with their cuisine!
