Originally owned by the Hoffman family, the Playland has been famous since 1951 until it almost closed down in 2014. After thousands of area residents came to its defense, Huck Finn’s Warehouse came to the rescue and reopened the facility in 2015.
The family friendly atmosphere offers fun for all ages, with Kiddie Rides and Thrill Rides for all who attend. With 13 kid friendly rides, children will have the opportunity to ride trains, a merry-go-round, boats, a helicopter, a roller coaster and more. Thrill Rides offer opportunities for older kids to ride the Scrambler, Paratrooper, Big Wheel and Tilt A Whirl. The amusement park also offers concession stands with all your favorite park treats, from hot dogs to cotton candy and ice cream. While there is no admission charge to enter the park, guests need tickets for the rides. Kiddie Ride tickets are 1 ticket a person while the Thrill Rides are 2 tickets a person. A book of 8 tickets costs $15.95 and a book of 25 tickets costs $32.95.
