Experience some of the Adirondack’s most exquisite sceneries at High Falls Gorge. Taking only thirty minutes to complete with trails safe for all ages, High Falls Gorge is perfect for families. A staple of upstate New York since 1890, High Falls Gorge has four breathtaking falls cascading over water-carved rocks. With sturdy bridges and maintained walkways, High Falls Gorge provides breathtaking Adirondack views and scenic photographic vantage points. This 22 acre plot of land is provately owned and maintained to optimize visitor experience and preservation.
Although the site is open yearlong, each season offers new views and sceneries. Enjoy the start of Spring with a stroll through the park. Stop and smell the wildflowers during the Summer season, where you can enjoy two glass-floor walkways over the churning rapids and waterfalls. Come for Fall and watch the trees change like fire, or bundle up for Winter to witness the crystal icicles and snow-fallen grounds.
On site at High Falls Gorge is also a small café and gift shop. Stop in at the River View Café after a day of exploration to enjoy some great food and baked goods. Pick up a souvenir at the gift shop to remember your visit, or a book about the local Adirondack nature to learn more. No matter the time of year, these falls have something to offer everyone.
“The waterfall was amazing with the ice formations and rushing water.”
