Adventure up to 24 miles of trails along the scenic Genesee River. The Genesee Riverway Trail is an off-road trail that goes through the heart of Rochester and extends to the Erie Canal and Lake Ontario. Pedestrians on the path can enjoy eight walking bridges, the beautiful Genesee River Gorge, three waterfalls, and 11 parks, four of which are historic parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. The trail is clearly marked, so pedestrians will know where they are headed and can choose the roughness of the terrain they cover.
