Founded in 1916, the Columbia County Historical Society Museum & Library collects, preserves, and presents the history, heritage, and culture of Columbia County, New York, and serves residents of the county’s eighteen towns and the City of Hudson.
For more than 100 years, thousands of people from all across the county and beyond have enjoyed the Historical Society’s exhibitions, historic properties, and educational programs.
The museum is a vital community resource, with collections including paintings, textiles, furniture, decorative arts, maps, photographs, archives and genealogical materials relating to Columbia County’s heritage and culture.
Gallery of the Wreaths
From November 29 to December 1, the 34th Annual Gallery of the Wreaths will take place. This exhibit features live, dried, artificial and mixed media wreaths donated by artists, friends, and area businesses that are auctioned off to benefit the Columbia County Historical Society. Guests can bid on wreaths all weekend and are encouraged to return to keep an eye on their favorite wreaths. The auction closes at Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm and winners are notified on December 1st beginning at 4:30pm.
