Delve behind the lens of emerging artists with fresh new perspectives at the Center for Photography at Woodstock at its brand new location in Kingston, New York.
The Center for Photography at Woodstock is a community-focused museum and gathering place for critical dialogue and creative discovery in photography. With a priority to highlight emerging artists, experimental ideas and debates about photography and visual culture. Beyond its exhibitions, the CPW is a school bolstering the skills of artists through its Digital Media Lab, research center, community spaces and more.
Workshops at the Center for Photography at Woodstock are offered throughout the year and focus on teaching different skills for photography processes or media such as large-format, lighting, AI incorporation and more. Workshops take place during a week or weekend. Check their site to see upcoming workshops. Classes are also offered for longer courses of study in specialized areas focusing on a student’s body of work or project.
Critique Groups last six months and meet once or twice a month for students to share their work, receive and give feedback and refine their bodies of work.
The Digital Media Lab is a membership-based workspace for digital editing, printing and scanning. Artists are free to use the lab themselves or with one-on-on guidance. State of the art Apple technology is available by the hour by appointment only.
