Staying in Rochester? Escape the city and visit Casa Larga Vineyards to enjoy a wine tasting. The vineyard sits on 35 acres of land, in one of the highest points of the area. There are 11 different varieties of grapes, consisting of Pinot Noirs, Merlots, Chardonnays and more. Casa Larga Vineyards ships to 40 states, so if you find your favorite wine, remember to order it again later in the years.
Consider planning a trip around one of the Vineyard’s festivals. Every year the Vineyard hosts a Purple Foot Festival where guests are welcome to celebrate the harvest season with a signature grape stomp and other fun activities.
Casa Larga Vineyards also holds the annual NY Ice Wine & Culinary festival where those interested can learn how New York ice wines are made, a traditionally hard process. Don’t worry, throughout the day you can taste the ice wines of course!
Additionally, every Thursday during the summer, the patio has live music, local food trucks and more from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. It is a great time for everyone.
The venue also holds a Sip and Series class on Thursdays and Sundays for a fun paint and sip.
