Buffalo Museum of Science

Step into the afterlife and explore the Golden Mummies of Egypt Exhibit at the Buffalo Museum of Science!

The Buffalo Museum of Science, which been around since 1929, has seen a lot of changes over the last five years.

As its permanent exhibit spaces have been transformed into highly interactive and immersive science studios, this classic has boosted itself into the 21st century.

See exhibits like In Motion, an exploration of basic physics, mechanical motion, engineering and organic motion; Our Place in Space, a study of our ultimate origin; Rethink Extinct, a journey through time, starting in the Paleozoic Era 542 million years ago.

This is a bountiful museum, with all the prerequisites of a solid science center covered and a large helping of hands-on exhibitions to engage kids for hours.

The museum is closed Monday to Thursday and open Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are available online.

“One of my favorite institutions in all of Buffalo, the Museum of Science! This place is a treasure, and it has a large amount to see and do for a smaller museum.”
