The Farmer’s Museum: Virtual Farm

The Farmer’s Museum: Virtual Farm

Experience a wide selection of virtual content on the rural heritage that has shaped our land and culture.

The Farmer’s Museum brings you a wide schedule of fun online activities while we remain at home.

History of The Farmer’s Museum

Since 1944, the Farmer’s Museum has worked to give communities a stronger understanding of the rural heritage that has made our land what it is today, as well as how it has affected local communities and American culture. With over 23,000 artifacts and land that has been part of a working farm since 1913, the Farmer’s Museum continues to strive to be a highly frequented destination and resource for people to enjoy. Even in these uncertain times, the museum has worked to create an extensive virtual programming schedule for people to visit their “virtual farm.”

Bringing the Best of the Farm to You

Enjoy and experience a diverse selection of digital content that covers all aspects of the Farmer’s Museum. From April 1 to May 30, the museum has posted scheduled content for people of all ages to enjoy, from word search puzzles, DIY weaving, virtual tours of the village, hatching chicks, or baking recipes! Despite the virtual calendar ending in May, it continues as a great resource while we remain remote. These activities are not time consuming and are sure to offer something for everyone in the family to get involved in to have some old fashioned farming fun.
