About Parrish Art Museum

Founded in 1898 by Samuel Longstreth Parrish, the Parrish Art Museum has brought artistic culture to the town of Southampton for over a decade. Originally built to hold Parrish’s growing collection of Italian Renaissance art and reproductions of classic statues, the museum has continued to expand and evolve overtime. Today, the museum focuses heavily on works by artists from the North and South Shores of Long Island. Each year the museum displays 15 temporary exhibits and produces more than a hundred public programs, such as film, music and talks, as well as unique workshops and classes.
