New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show
The beloved holiday tradition in the Bronx is back—and bigger than ever.
Every winter the New York Botanical Garden celebrates the holidays with the iconic Holiday Train Show. You’ll see more than 25 model trains and trolleys hum along early a half-mile of track. Start on the lawn at the outdoor mountainscapes and then watch trains zip past nearly 200 iconic New York landmarks in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Model locomotives and trolleys will travel through the outdoor lawn display. Within the landmark glasshouse, discover twinkling plant-based replicas of famed local architecture creating a dazzling mini cityscape. New this year, enjoy Holiday Train Nights in which train conductors guide you after dark through several beautifully lit conservatory scenes from the cactus-filled desert to the lush rainforest.
While at NYBG, sit down for a festive farm-to-table meal at the Hudson Garden Grill, or swing by the Pine Tree Café for faster family-friendly fare. Warm up at the Spruce Bar with a cup of the famous NYBG hot chocolate, curated cocktails, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks.
