MoMA PS1 Benefit: An Online Party
MoMA PS1 is hosting an internet party for all to join. The show will consist of live performances from Nick Hakim and Moses Sumney. Both Dr. Nicole R. Fleetwood, author and curator of Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration, and Taryn Simon, a multidisciplinary artist and new member of MoMA PS1’s Board of Directors, will be featured and honored during the event. The dress code is “webcam glam.”
In addition to this virtual event, MoMA has a number of virtual exhibits, that are posted every Thursday and presented by curators. The next exhibit at the MoMA will go live on May 28th and includes presentations of Latin American art along with a Q&A. Other exhibits have included Amy Sillman’s “The Shape of Shape,” Neri Oxman’s “Material Ecology,” and more.
