Watch more than 100 hot air balloons from the United States, Canada, France, and Brazil fill the Quebec sky at the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu. The event is the largest hot air balloon festival in Canada. In its 34th year, the festival seeks to top itself with new and creative balloon designs and more flights than ever before.

Several stages at the festival will host Canadian artists like Tom Cochrane (“Life is a Highway”), Isabelle Boulay, and Erip Lapointe. Several activities including carnival rides and rock climbing will keep the fun going long after the balloons take flight. The festival begins August 11 and runs for eight days.

Attending the Festival

Ticket prices for the event are to be announced. Due to the cancellation of 2020’s festival, the festival is being postponed to 2021. Ticket purchasers of the 2020 festival have the option to keep their tickets for 2021, or acquire a refund.
