CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival
The 20th edition of this nine-day jazz festival is set to return in June 2023, from June 23rd to July 1st. One of the world’s leading jazz festivals, it presents legendary performers, familiar favorites, rising stars, and new discoveries from around the world. The event presents more than 1,750 artists from 20 stages and over 325 shows. Each year, approximately 208,000 audience members attend the festival to enjoy jazz music from diverse artists. Featuring a multitude of artists from across the world, there is always something new to enjoy. This year, the Headliners Series will feature Pat Metheny Side-Eye and Bonnie Rait. The Free Show Series and Club Pass Series lineups will be announced in March. Since 2002, producers John Nugent and Marc Iacona have worked to ensure the best festival quality and continue to impress year after year.
Attending the Jazz Festival
Ticket prices to the jazz festival vary for different passes and shows. The 3-Day & 9-Day Club Passes are on sale now. The regular ticket prices are $254 for the 3-Day pass and $294 for the 9-day pass. If purchased before March 13th, you will receive an early-bird discount. The festival encourages people of all ages to attend. With multiple shows, artists and stages, attendees will be sure to find something that suits their musical tastes. In addition to enjoying the musical performances, attending the festival helps to support the jazz community. If you want to be more actively involved in the music, there are Jazz Workshops and Jam Sessions hosted over the course of the festival. The event also features a Jazz Scholarship Program, awarding $500,000 for 42 scholarship recipients to attend the prestigious Eastman School of Music..
