Downtown Albany, the capital of New York State, offers plenty for visitors to see and do. The strikingly modern Empire State Plaza is home to the New York State Museum and The Egg Center for the Performing Arts. Keep your eyes open for murals, part of the Capital Walls art project. See a show or sports game at the MVP Arena. Stroll down funky Lark Street, which features an eclectic collection of shops and restaurants. The 81-acre Washington Park, designed by the same folks who created New York City’s Central Park, is the city’s center of outdoor life. Nearby Troy entices visitors with its Hudson Riverwalk and Riverfront Park, a nationally-recognized Farmers Market and  the incredible Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.
